Eli is now well into his 4th month. At his 4 month appointment he was 17.5 pounds and 26 inches tall. I whole 5.5 inches taller and 10 pounds heavier than when he was born. I can't believe how quickly this little guy is growing! They did make a referral for physical therapy due to Eli having torticollis. This is a shortening of one of the muscles in the neck making the other side weaker. It also results in loss of range of motion in his neck and a tilt. Also it can cause a flat spot on one side of his head ..he also has one cheek larger than the other etc due to asymmetry of his head from this. With a lot of stretching, we hope to lengthen the left neck muscle and strengthen the right side.
He really has had a rough day. Didn't sleep well last night due to a persistent dry cough and with the therapy today he wasn't too happy. However, when I got home from working out I fed him some green beans and oatmeal (which he devoured). And gave him a bath, which he really had fun in. Then he had a 6oz bottle bringing todays total to 30 oz and read Green Eggs and Ham. And then was put down to sleep. He didn't cry or anything and I have heard a peep from him since.
Lets hope tonight is a better sleeping night!
Here are a couple pics from this evening
